Native plants offered this year at Bayfield Garden Club Plant Sale

The Bayfield Garden Club is hosting its annual plant sale on Saturday, May 13, 2017.

The club is adding native plants to the selection this year.

People buying plants can now purchase native plants ideal for local growing conditions. These native plants can be used for naturalizing, for rain gardens, or for woodlands.

The selection includes such beautiful choices as Cardinal Flower; Canadian Anemone; Wild Columbine; Turtlehead; Foam Flower; and Bloodroot.

"We also have a large choice of annuals, perennials, veggie plants, bulbs, herbs, shrubs, trees, house plants, garden tools and artefacts," according to the club.

The time is from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. or until sold out.

The location is Bayfield Clan Gregor Square, south side, across from Bayfield Town Hall.

Organizers urge you to "come early for the best choice."

You may bring plant and garden donations to the Kales family home at 55 Victoria Street on Friday, May 12, 2017 between 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Directions: From Tuyll Street, turn east onto Victoria Street. The Kales family is the last house on the left.

"We love all plant donations," organizers say. "Please pot and label plants - thank you."
